3-Day Indonesian Film Festival Launched

The 3rd year of the Indonesian Film Festival kicked off on Tuesday night in Prague. The festival takes place from 19 – 21 May in the Municipal Library (Městská knihovna), Prague. All films have English subtitles.

This year the festival held under the auspices of Oscar winning Czech director Jiří Menzel is focused on an acclaimed Indonesian film director Riri Riza.

Riri Reza said that he was proud to be asked by Salim Sahid, the Indonesian ambassador to the Czech Republic, to participate in the festival. He said he considered Salim Sahid as a master in Indonesian films.

For the festival this year, six of Riri Reza’s films will be played including Laskar Pelangi, Tiga Hari untuk Selamanya, Petualangan Sherina, Eliana Eliana, Gie, and Untuk Rena.
